Of course, classic books are not just for young adults. There are classics to suit all ages, from infants and beyond. Think of the charming illustrations and soothing text of Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown.
Also remember those fairy tales that you loved so much as a child. Antique books are one particular type of classics. This is partly because nonfiction titles for children generally have a shorter shelf-life than fiction. One of the best things about classic children's books is that they can be passed down from generation to generation. The same book that your grandmother read to your mother as a child, she read to you, and you are now sharing with your children!
